Here’s everything I actually use myself — not just random stuff! I’m all about making life easy and avoiding harsh chemicals whenever I can.

    • Raw Beeswax – I always try to support local when I can (hello happy hive!), but if I can’t find it, I grab good-quality beeswax online with free shipping to save time.
    • Organic Olive Oil – I like using a clean, high-quality olive oil because it’s food-safe, which matters when you’re polishing things like cutting boards and wooden spoons.
    • Lemon Essential Oil – This gives the polish a fresh, clean scent and adds a little extra natural cleaning power. Definitely a bonus but not a must-have!
    • Glass Jars with Lids – Perfect for storing your polish without it absorbing weird smells. Plus, they’re cute enough to give as gifts if you want to share!
    • Soft Cotton Cloths – Trust me, a soft cotton cloth makes polishing so much easier without scratching or leaving fuzzies behind.

    FAQ – Homemade Beeswax Polish

Can I use beeswax polish on things other than wood?

Yes! It’s a wonderful old school furniture polish, but it also works on stainless steel fingerprints, shower floors, tile walls, and even makes an excellent glass and mirror cleaner (goodbye, soap scum buildup on shower doors!).
(And if you love multi-use recipes, don’t miss my Homemade Hand Soap with Lemon — it’s another easy, natural DIY you can whip up in no time!)

Will it leave a greasy feel?

Nope — if you use it the right way (tiny amounts, buffed in with a circular motion), there’s no greasy feel at all. If you do get a little too much, just wipe it off with a paper towel or a cloth dampened in warm soapy water.

How often should I use it?

I do a regular treatment about once a month on my furniture to keep it in good condition, but honestly, it depends on how dry your pieces get.

Can it help revive old furniture?

Definitely. It’s amazing on new furniture, but it can seriously bring older pieces back to life too, especially if they have that dull, dry look from previous oil drying out.
